quest · wild path
The most trusted knot in the world. Sailors, climbers, and rescue teams all use it. It makes a loop that won't slip AND unties easily when you're done.
the story
The rabbit comes out of the hole, runs around the tree, and dives back down the hole. Every scout learns it this way. Say it out loud while you tie.
You can do this one on your own with everyday materials.
what you'll need
safety · Cord rule: never tie rope around anyone's neck, wrists, chest, or ankles — yours or anybody else's. No cord across a doorway, stairway, or anywhere someone could trip. Keep loose cord off the floor, keep it away from little kids and pets, and coil it up when you're done. This knot is for objects, never for people, and never for climbing or hanging your weight.
Read what you'll need, then roll.
