Grab a grown-upIntermediate45–60 min🏠 Indoors

A grown-up works with you and owns a few steps of this quest.

🧑 The grown-up owns: Chooses the item from the Safe Fix Menu, confirms it is unplugged and non-hazardous, and handles any tool you haven't used before.

what you'll need

  • Something from the Safe Fix Menu
  • Hand screwdriver set
  • White glue or tape
  • Notebook + pencil
  • A tray or paper to hold parts

safety · Only fix things from the Safe Fix Menu below. Nothing plugged in, nothing with a battery pack or motor, nothing with gas, glass, blades, pressure, heat, or chemicals. Hand tools only — no power tools. Your grown-up checks the item BEFORE you open anything.

🧑 grown-up does

These steps belong to the grown-up. Grab a grown-up.

  1. 1. Choose the item with your Sk8er

Use the Safe Fix Menu. If it plugs in, holds a battery, has a motor, burns, cuts, heats, holds pressure, or holds up a person's weight — it's off the menu.

  2. 2. Make it inert before it's opened

Unplugged, batteries out, nothing under tension or load. You confirm this out loud before the first screw turns.

  3. 3. Handle any unfamiliar tool

Anything sharper or stronger than a hand screwdriver is yours to operate while your Sk8er watches.

Read the safety badge and the grown-up steps together before you start.
