Your eyes need time to adjust. No phone screens. Watch stars appear one by one.
Seven bright stars shaped like a soup ladle. Sketch it in the top corner of your page.
Orion has 3 stars in a row (his belt). Cassiopeia is a W shape. Sketch whichever you see.
Follow the two front stars of the Big Dipper's cup upward — they point straight at Polaris. Label it.
Pick 5 stars nobody claimed. Connect them dot-to-dot. Give it a name and a legend.
Write today's date, the time, and the moon phase (full, half, crescent, new) at the top of your sketch.
Same time, same spot. Sketch again. Notice what moved and what stayed put.
