🧑 The grown-up owns: Does all sanding prep, and does every aerosol/spray step (primer and clear coat) outdoors alone. The Sk8er paints with water-based acrylics only.

safety · You paint with water-based acrylics only. Sanding dust and anything in an aerosol can — spray primer, spray clear coat — is a grown-up job, done outdoors, without you in the spray area. No solvents, no thinners, no power sanders.

These steps belong to the grown-up. Grown-up leads.
1. Take the hardware off
Remove or fully tape over trucks and wheels so nothing gets painted or loosened.
2. Do all the sanding
Light hand-sanding of the deck bottom, outdoors or with dust control. Wipe with a damp cloth and let it dry fully. The Sk8er doesn't breathe sanding dust.
3. Spray the primer
Outdoors, away from the kids, with the can's own instructions followed. Let it dry, then hand back a primed white deck.
4. Spray the clear coat and cure it
Two thin coats outdoors, 10 minutes apart. Then store it flat overnight to cure before anyone rides it.
