quest · cosmic cadets
Two paper plates + a story = a saucer that actually glides. Cadets, prep for launch.
what you'll need
the mission
Draw windows, lights, alien passengers. Give your saucer a name — every ship gets one.
Stick a coin or a bead of clay in the center of the inside. This keeps it flying straight.
Glue or tape the two plates rim to rim so the flat sides face out.
Hold flat, throw with a level flick of the wrist — like a frisbee. Note how far it flies.
More clay = flies faster but drops sooner. Less clay = floats but wobbles. Find the balance.
Measure the longest straight glide with steps. Write it inside the saucer.
Tap a step when you finish it. Progress saves on this device.
