Plain-language notice — describes how Sk8erz works today.
This page is written to match the site as it actually operates, and is kept updated as the site changes. It is not legal advice, has not been reviewed by an attorney, and makes no certification or compliance claim. Anything not yet decided is listed openly at the bottom of the page rather than stated as if it were settled.
Sk8erz Library is built on one rule: children explore, parents authorize, and Sk8erz curates and protects. These pages explain how that works in practice.
How Sk8erz protects young explorers
- Made for explorers roughly ages 8–15, with a grown-up alongside.
- Ordinary exploration needs no child account and no child sign-in.
- Card, badges, Rune Journal and Field Book content stay on the child's own device.
- A grown-up authorizes each protected activity separately, and can withdraw it.
- Every Art Wall submission is reviewed by Sk8erz before it can be seen publicly.
- Public artwork shows only a chosen nickname and avatar — never a child's real details.
- No child profiles, comments, messages, followers, likes or leaderboards.
- No behavioral advertising; no open-ended AI chat, voice or microphone.
- Membership is free — $0 — and buying something never unlocks anything.

Kids' area and grown-ups' area
The Library — Worlds, quests, Trails, the Art Wall, the Rune Journal, the Field Book and the Card — is the child-directed part of the site and is free. The Shop, cart, checkout, order history and Parent Center are adult-directed, and merch checkout happens on the Sk8erz hosted storefront rather than inside this site.
